Montegrappa Venus de Milo Gold Fountain Pen

Montegrappa, an Italian brand has taken inspiration from one of the world’s greatest artistic treasures. The collection was made to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the discovery of The Venus de Milo.

The statue now lives in the legendary Louvre Museum in Paris, where she stands at an impressive 6'8" or 202cm tall. Montegrappa have recreated the incredible piece of art to stand at only 140mm instead!

The prestige Italian pen maker had decided from the offset that they would maintain the authenticity, especially due to her reputation as the epitome of beauty depends on her flaws as an artistic perfection.

The collection's creative process began with marble, having experience using marble in the Antonio Canova collection; 3D modelling helped Montegrappa create special moulds that captures every single detail in high-resolution detail. This then get's filled with clay made from ultra-fine marble 'flour' leaving it with a silky touch once dry.
