Montegrappa dates back to 1912, 'Elmo' was the brainchild of Heinrich Helm - a director of the company during the 1920's, when he left the company his vision for a comfortable, reliable pen became the mainstay of Italian culture for the decades that came after. The Elmo was industrious and ambitious.
The new version is a true representation of the original with a modern sleekness to it, hence the name 'Elmo 01' paying homage to it's original designer!
